Art is in the air, it could be paraphrased. Indeed, last October this dazzling atmosphere pervaded the whole Old Truman Brewery, venue of The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art.
Zigzagging along the corridors, a multitude of bright colours and sharp lines shine out of paintings and sculptures, pretending to be admired. There is the impression that they are shouting at people for attention: “Look at me!”, “No, look at me!”
Among the winged women of Will Teather, the rhythmically distorted landscapes of Nadia Attura and the female smokers in space of Delphine Lebourgeois, to mention only three, the reality exchanged with unreality, which inebriated the visitors, taking them to a surreal state.
The only way to come back down to Earth was to go to the Vibe Bar inside the venue and drink a very concrete coffee.
